Day 70: Off To The Races

Today we were going to the V8 races for the day. We had the first half of the day at home cleaning up and stuff and then at about 12:30 Leonie came and we then walked to the races that were just down the road. When we got ther we went to find a position to sit in so we could watch the V8's go past. While we were looking we found a really weird car covered in camel fur and had a camel hump on the roof and had a head on the bonnet.

We then found our position and watched the cars as we waited for the V8's. We eventually went to the merchandise and had a look around. I got a shirt like I always did at every V8 races then we went back to the food bar and got some drinks just as the V8's started to race. We watched them for the whole 42 laps wondering what would happen the next and then eventually a car crashed and nearly took his whole bonnet off (sorry, don't have any pictures). After a few hours of the race the sun started to set and then the party would begin because INXS was playing that night. INXS is the most successful world-wide band and they were playing there. Everyone was in there position and it was extremely crowded. When the band started playing, it was mayhem, everyone was jumping up and down, screaming and singing along with them.

After about an hour I got sick of it and convinced mum to go home, and we did. We just beat the rush trying to get out. When we got home it was off to bed for all of us.
