Day 55: Outskirts of Tennant Creek

Today we were packing up and going out to the Juno Horse Centre just on the outskirts of Tennant Creek. Arrived at Juno Horse Centre at about 11am, got settled in and went to look at a couple of sights around Tennant Creek. While we were setting up a mob of horses from the station ran past.

We went out to "The Pebbles" further out of town and turned off to go into them.

We went for the 15min walk around them - they are like a miniature Devils Marbles.

We left there and then went tot Tennant Creek Telegraph Station further in. There wasn't much to see because all the doors were locked so we just wlked around the buildings and read the signs about them. There was a graveyard a couple of meters down the road so we walked there and had a look. There were only 2 gravrs there.

We then went to Lake Mary Ann and had a look. It was beautiful and you could walk along the edge of it.

After we'd finished looking there it was off to the town to do some shopping and do a couple of things. It was then back to the station to set up the fire. We had dinner-which was cooked on the fire-with some friends that we'd met that day.

After that it was off to bed to get a good nights sleep
