Today was our second day on the road to Darwin. We left The Lazy Lizard Tavern and went on a detour going through Douglas Daly River region.
Emerald Springs was a cozy little pub on the side of the road, there was a lot of noise because of the trucks.
We stopped on the side of the road to take some photos of some huge termite mounds with us standing next to them (these termite mounds are a lot bigger than the ones back down south).
After the photos mum and dad were after me and I was trying to prebent having my photo taken again.
After taking Rosie for a walk were ready to get back on the road again.

We eventually stopped at a place called Douglas Daly River Resort which is right there on the edge of everything. After setting up the van dad and I went to the pool to cool off, but instead was visited by a surprise visitor at the pool.
Oh my, there's Wally the snake (that's what I called him), come to nibble on a cane toad. After we got the snake out Rosie came down to the pool to have a play.
When we got out of the pool we got ready to go down the road to have a little look at what was around the van park. We went to the Arches, Waterhole all infested with crocs.
Went to see some cool rapids and rocks.
Then headed home for some fiery action with a camp fire and movie.
