Day 51: Goodbye Alice Springs at Last

Today was the day we were finally going to get out of Alice Springs. We got up in the morning to get out of the scout hall. We were on the road at about 9:30 and heading for Tennant Creek. We went to the highest point between Adeleide and Darwin, it was only a little stone structure with a pole on top. After we'd left there we headed for the Tropic of Capricorn which is the opposite to the Tropic of Cancer and is the  marker saying it was going to get warmer. When we got to the Tropic of Capricorn, we went to have a look. If two people had past it, they would have just said,"oh, theres the Tropic of Capricorn, lets keep going," but mum wanted to take me there for my education. The Tropic of Capricorn was only a big structure made of metal poles holding up a metal model of Earth. We left the Tropic of Capricorn and continued heading to Tennant Creek. We ended up stopping at a little place on the side of the road called Taylors Creek, jam-packed with tents, caravans and campervans. We set up and then did the things we normally do such as school work and tidying up the van. It was pretty late when we finished watching a movie and finished pottering around, so we went to bed.
