Day 86: A Day of Educational Wildlife

Today were going to the Territory Wildlife Park at Berry Springs. We all  got up at about 8:00 so we could get there nice and early. After our 8min drive down the road we got our stuff and headed inside.

When we went in we payed the entry fee and went in to the main building. In the main building there was a snake and a blue-tonged lizard.

We through the gates and then went to the next show, the bird show (no matter what zoo we go to there always seems to be a bird show on). We walk a little bit before getting to the bird showgrounds. We were really early so we decided to get a good spot and just stay there. More and more people started flowing in and before long it was packed. After about 20min of waiting the show got under way.
They started off by showing us a sought of kite and it actually ate the inside an egg but to break the egg it picked up a rock in its beak and threw it down on the egg to crack it.
Next they sent out some red-tailed black cockotoos and some normal cockotoos too.

They then took away the cockotoos and brung out a sort of eagle.

After the show they allowed us to go back stage and hold a rufous owl and have a look at some other birds.

We then went to the nocturnal house and went to wait for the show. We soon got impatient and went to see if the show was inside but it wasn't so we went back outside and we saw a woman holding a bat and all these people standing around so we went over a took some photos.

After that we didn't have to see anymore shows so we just walked around looking at everything. We came across some pelicans and the babies.

We next went to the aquarium to have a look. When we eventually got there we went straight inside to have a wander around.

After that we went to the dingos. It was only across the road but it seemed like a mile.
We then went to the Oolooloo Sandbar with all the freshwater whiprays in it. After that dad and I walked back to the main building while mum caught the bus back. When dad and I eventually got back we caught the bus to the aviary so we could have a look. When we got there we went to the entrance.

After that we went to wait for the bus so we could go back to the main building. When we got back we went out to the car to leave. All we did that afternoon was watch a movie have dinner and go to bed.
