Day 17: Another Decision At Parachilna

Dad and I got up early that morning and went for a walk up this hill right next to our campsite. It was hard when we got to about halfway. When we got close to the top we decided it was too dangerous to go any further so we started heading down the slope. It was a lot more dangerous going down than going up. When we were about half way down our friends that were next to us left so we didn’t get to say goodbye. When we got back down I was so happy. After my happy little celebration, the family got together and made a decision whether to stay another night or not, it was a scissors, paper rock challenge between mum and dad. It was a well fought battle from dad who didn’t want to stay, but the overall winner was mum who wanted to stay. We unpacked the car and got some firewood for the fire that night. After that we decided to go into town and have lunch at the Prairie Hotel. For lunch I had a kangaroo burger and so did dad, mum had an Angus beef burger. After lunch we went back to the campsite and watched the new Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Treader. After that we got ready the fire, I got a big fat blister on my thumb from cutting logs. We enjoyed it for a little while then we all went to bed.
